On the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes
Sacraments are actions of Christ through his Church (Ritual N°54)
On February 11, the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, this quote set the tone for a beautiful and profound celebration of the Anointing of the Sick, requested by 9 sisters.
Holy Father, it is you who sustains life,
From you comes all comfort!
The blessing of the ritual was given its full meaning. Our chaplain, Father Dréano, summarized it in three words:
COMFORT, SAVE, RAISE UP
therefore signifying the grace given through the sacrament!
During the Eucharist, with open heart and hands, each person received the laying on of hands and the sacramental Anointing. Their personal “AMEN” resounded in a response of trust and peace.
At the end of the celebration, Father Dréano thanked everyone for their witness of faith and trust, and the sisters showed their proximity with kind words and fraternal gestures.
A beautiful and profound celebration!
